Since 2000, the corridor that spans the Carbondale Civic Center has been managed as an art space called the Corridor Gallery. The gallery has displayed the works of more than two hundred local and regional artists. You can also see artwork by visiting international artists. There is a new exhibit every month, and Carbondale Community Arts holds a monthly reception where you can meet the new artist.
Allan Stuck Studio
When Allan Stuck was taking pre-med classes, he took an art appreciation course and started experimenting with jewelry design. Now he designs jewelry from unique earth materials such as moonstones and fossils. His jewelry is worn by celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Miley Cyrus. His jewelry displays include rings, necklaces, and earrings. Stop by his shop on the Makanda Boardwalk to see or buy the unique pieces. You can find other local artists at the Makanda Boardwalk, including Nina Kovar at the Visions Art Gallery.
The Rainmaker Art Studio
